Mr. Vijaya Kumaran K.K.Nair


Nair has been involved in academia for more than 33 years. He was a key mover and the implementer in a number of education related projects. Nair was the founding consultant of a large Nursing and Allied Health College and Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the International University College of Nursing, the First Nursing University in the World. These institutions were established in Malaysia with the latter having an extensive international link.

Nair is also a pioneer in promoting and commercialising nursing science education in Malaysia. He was one of the founding consultants that set up the Nursing and Allied Health College in 2000 and later went on and co-founded the First Nursing University in the World.

Nair is also an advisor to the Tianjin Beichen Federation of Industry & Commerce, Tianjin PR China. In addition, Mr. Nair is also a World Bank consultant and has been involved as a consultant in a number of local and international education and related development and management projects in Maldives, Brunei, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, PR Laos, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Brunei, India, PR China and Japan.

Nair has worked in a number of educational institutions providing consulting services from establishing Private Institutes of Higher Learning, Managing, Marketing and related activities. Nair is also a pioneer in e-learning and mobile learning initiatives in Malaysia and Maldives. He has written for a number of publications and presented numerous papers at conferences both in Malaysia and internationally.

He has a MBA from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, he also holds an LLB (Hons) from the UK, and a BA (Hons) from University Malaya, along with numerous diplomas and certificates, predominately in the field of multimedia and education. He is currently working on a PhD on m-learning modules design for futuristic curriculum - M-learning environment.

His expertise is in establishing and operating higher educational institutions (generic and nursing), project management, curriculum design, e/m learning, ICT, teacher training, pedagogy and methodology for conventional and futuristic curriculum.

Vice President, Academic and Operations


Mr. Moganadass Ramalingam


He is currently the Vice President of Academics and Operations of Optima International College. He was Director of IT and then Director of Academics for 2 years in International University College Arts and Science (formerly known as International University College of Nursing, IUCN) in Kota Damansara, Selangor. He has over 13 years of professional experience in IT, with five years of professional experience in the IT Industry as application developer, three years as IT Manager, and another five years of experience as IT lecturer. He has managed IT projects (IT infra design, hardware and software implementation) for 4 branch campuses at a large Nursing and Allied Health College in Malaysia. Project Manager for University Management System which being developed for a group of colleges. He has customised and implemented Nursing Learning System using Moodle for the First Nursing University in the World (IUCN). He developed SOP and ISO documentations for IT Department for ISO 9001:2000 and certified internal auditor to maintain quality. He has skills in system analysis, design and development and proficient in programming using RPG/400, Java, C++ using MFC classes He has more than 10 years of teaching experience predominantly in programming subjects. He is currently in the final stages in completing his Ph.D in University of Malaya.


Head of Academic Resources, Quality Assurance, Government Liaison & Foundation Studies


Mr. Subramaniam  Muthusamy


He has been involved in education and teacher training for the last 35 years. His vast educational experience includes teaching students in secondary schools as well as educating teachers. His last posting with the Ministry of Education was as Deputy Director of Institute Pendidikan Guru Kampus Gaya, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. His role was to assist the director in the administration and management of the functions of the institute. Coordinate the audit functions of the institutes in Sabah Zone. Prior to this he was Head of Item Analysis Sub-Unit in the Examination Unit (PEN), Teacher Education Unit (BPG) in the Ministry of Education. Here he coordinated the analysis of examination results and questions and overseeing the administration of examinations, marking of examination papers and course work assessment in teacher training colleges.


Manager - International Student Affairs


Ms. Norhasni Jamlie


Norhasni Jamlie holds a Bachelor and a Masters in Management (Technology), from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.  Her doctorate research interest is the field of Human Resource Management.  

She is very familiar with the process and procedures of recruitment and application of the visa for International students.  She is experienced in managing the International Students Admissions Department.  She is also well versed with the work flow at the Education Malaysia Global services (EMGS), a one stop centre to process the International Students.   EMGS is regarded as the official gateway to studying in Malaysia as all international student applications to study in Malaysia will have to be made through this portal.  Apart, Norhasni is familiar with all the formalities at the Immigration Department, Malaysia  for international students.
Norhasni is heading the International Students Admissions Department at New OPTIMA.
