  DIPLOMA IN TRAVEL, TOURISM & HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT - BRIEF

The Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management is an internal programme established by the OPTIMA COLLEGE and it provides a comprehensive curriculum that could pave a pathway to higher learning for those students pursuing a BBA.

The Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management is a beneficial and valuable qualification that can help those who have completed the program to excel in their career in Hospitality. This programme can also be used as a diagnostic tool to help students to decide whether to specialise in Travel and Tourism or in any Hospitality industry such as hotel, hospitals or any other service sector.

Mandarin (option)

Legal Aspects of the Hospitality Industry
Tour Planning and Management
Tourism Destination Planning and Development


Semester 6

Industrial Training
1 week ABACUS Ticketing Training
Hotel placement

Students also required to take National Accreditation Board's LAN subjects as follows:

Malay Language A / B
Malaysian Studies
Moral Studies / Islamic Studies


Entry Requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
SPM/ ‘O' Level / SAP – 3 passes


Document to bring for registration:

2 passport size photographs
2 IC photocopies
2 photocopies of relevant certificates including SPM (certificate true copy)
Registration fee RM 50
Membership fee £ 50 (Bank Draft payable to The Society for Professional Management UK )


Awarding Body

The International Examinations Board (IEB) is the joint examining body of the Society of Business Practioners (U.K.)

IEB awards are eligible for cross credits and exemptions towards both SBP and MAMSA qualifications.
